Then shall the king say to those on his right hand, Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty and you gave me drink; I was a stranger and you took me in; naked and you clothed me; I was sick and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me. read more.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you? or thirsty, and give you drink? when did we see you a stranger, and take you in? or naked, and clothe you? when did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you? And the king shall answer and say to them, I tell you truly, that inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these my brothers, you have done it to me. Then shall he say to those on his left hand, Depart from me accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me no food; I was thirsty and you gave me no drink; a stranger, and you took me not in; sick and in prison and you visited me not. And Jesus replied and said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who both stripped him and inflicted blows upon him, and went away leaving him half dead. And, providentially, a certain priest went down that way, and seeing him passed by on the other side. And in like manner a Levite also, being at the place, came and saw him, and passed by on the other side. read more.
But a certain Samaritan, on a journey, came where he was, and seeing him had compassion on him; and he came and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and putting him on his own beast, brought him to a khan, and took care of him. And on the next day, putting out two denarii [28 cents], he gave them to the khan-keeper, and said, Take care of him, and whatever you expend more, when I return I will pay you. Which of these three think you was a neighbor to him who fell among the robbers? And he said, He that had mercy on him. Then said Jesus to him, Do you go and do likewise.

If therefore there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort in love, if any participation of the Spirit, if any affections and compassions, fulfil my joy, that you have the same mind, having the same love, sympathizing with each other, having one opinion.
