(But if the ministry of death, in letters, graven in stones, began with glory, so that the children of Israel could not fix their eyes on the face of Moses, on account of the glory of his face, a glory which is annulled;

And Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.

Who is as the wise? and who knoweth the explanation of things? A man's wisdom maketh his face to shine, and the boldness of his face is changed.

And all who sat in the council, looking fixedly on him, saw his face as the face of an angel.




He was the burning and shining lamp, and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.


For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not be still, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a torch that burneth.
