Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn, and be healed.

Ye hypocrites, ye know how to examine the face of the earth and the sky, but how can ye not examine this season?
Why do ye not understand my speech? Because ye cannot hear my word.
There is no man who understands. There is no man who seeks God.
About whom, much subject matter from us is also difficult to explain, since ye have become sluggish in hearing.
Rebellion » Against God, condemned
God sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners into prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

And unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree. He devours the barren who do not bear, and does no good to the widow. Yet [God] preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life. [God] gives them to be in security, and they rest in it. And his eyes are upon their ways. They are exalted. Yet a little while, and they are gone. Yea, they are brought low. They are taken out of the way as all others, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
