To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken. Behold, the word of LORD has become to them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call upon God at all times?

Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways. As a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments; they delight to draw near to God.

For the company of the hypocrites shall be barren, and fire shall consume the tents of bribery.

Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates. They are a trouble to me. I am weary of bearing them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide my eyes from you. Yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood.

Will thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to LORD?

And in vain they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.

And having opened his mouth, he taught them, saying,

But all their works they do in order to be seen by men. And they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the hems of their garments.

And why do thou see the speck in thy brother's eye, but do not notice the beam in thine own eye? Or how will thou say to thy brother, Let me take out the speck from thine eye, and behold, the beam in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first take out the beam from thine own eye, and then thou will see clearly to take out the speck from thy brother's eye.
