Therefore, having so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us??aving thrown off every encumbrance and the easily besetting sin??et us run with patience the race lying before us; looking away to the Author and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus; Who, in consideration of the joy lying before Him, endured the cross, despising shame, and hath taken a seat at the right hand of the throne of God. I have contended in the noble contest, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will recompense to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.
