Adam knew his wife again. She gave birth to a son, and named him Seth, "for God has appointed me another child instead of Abel, for Cain killed him."
I took your father Abraham from beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.
He said, "Naked I came out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away. Blessed be the name of the LORD."
He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly. He doesn't allow their livestock to decrease.
As for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He will become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.
The man knew Eve his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said, "I have gotten a man with the LORD's help."

So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife; and he went in to her, and the LORD gave her conception, and she bore a son.
Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction, and increases their families like a flock.
He settles the barren woman in her home, as a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD.
Behold, children are a heritage of the LORD. The fruit of the womb is his reward.
Joseph said to his father, "They are my sons, whom God has given me here." He said, "Please bring them to me, and I will bless them."
Behold, I and the children whom God has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells in Mount Zion.

The sun rose on him as he passed over Peniel, and he limped because of his thigh. Therefore the children of Israel do not eat the sinew of the hip, which is on the hollow of the thigh, to this day, because he touched the hollow of Jacob's thigh in the sinew of the hip.

Jacob traveled to Succoth, built himself a house, and made shelters for his livestock. Therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

Servants » The term often used to express humility
