Thus it was necessary for these earthly copies of the things in heaven to be cleansed by these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves are made clean with better sacrifices than these. However, Jesus has now obtained a more superior ministry, since the covenant he mediates is founded on better promises. Day after day every priest stands and repeatedly offers the same sacrifices that can never take away sins. Now where there is forgiveness of these sins, there is no longer any offering for sin. Therefore, my brothers, since we have confidence to enter the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain (that is, through his flesh),
