And Yahweh, will devote to destruction, the gulf of the Egyptian sea, And will brandish his hand against the River, in the full force of his spirit, - And will smite it in the seven streams And cause a marching through in sandals,

Though he pass through a sea of affliction, yet shall he smite the sea, with its waves, and the roaring depths of the Nile, shall appear dry, - So shall be brought down the pride of Assyria, and, the sceptre of Egypt, shall depart;

Therefore, Thus, sith Yahweh, Behold me! pleading thy cause, So then I will execute the avenging of thee; And will dry up her sea, And make dry her spring:

The oracle on Egypt: Lo! Yahweh, riding upon a swift cloud, and he will enter Egypt, And the idols of Egypt shall shake at his presence, And, the heart of Egypt, shall melt within him; And I will stir up Egyptians against Egyptians, And they shall fight - Every one against his brother and Every one against his neighbour, - City against city, and Kingdom against kingdom.
