The LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?
Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: 'Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.
but have lifted up yourself against the Lord of heaven. And they have brought the vessels of his house before you, and you and your lords, your wives and your concubines, have drunk wine from them. And you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see, nor hear, nor know. And the God in whose hand your breath is, and whose are all your ways, you have not glorified.
neither is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things.
All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.

There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

It is better to take refuge in the LORD, than to put confidence in man.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, and they do not seek the LORD.

Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When the LORD stretches out his hand, both he who helps shall stumble, and he who is helped shall fall, and they all shall be consumed together.
