a delightful child?
Whenever I speak against him,
I certainly still think about him.
Therefore, My inner being yearns for him;
I will truly have compassion on him.
This is the Lord’s declaration.
If anyone has this world’s goods and sees his brother in need but closes his eyes to his need—how can God’s love reside in him?

Appoint a marshal against her;
bring up horses like a swarm
out of Jerusalem!
Sound the ram’s horn
raise a smoke signal
for disaster threatens from the north,
even great destruction.

Moab will die with a tumult,
with shouting and the sound of the ram’s horn.
aren’t people afraid?
If a disaster
hasn’t the Lord done it?
and said: Listen for the sound of the ram’s horn.
But they protested, “We won’t listen!”
In fact, if the trumpet makes an unclear sound, who will prepare for battle?
