'Roar' in the Bible

The lion may roar and the fierce lion growl,but the fangs of young lions are broken.

Deep calls to deep in the roar of Your waterfalls;all Your breakers and Your billows have swept over me.

though its waters roar and foamand the mountains quake with its turmoil.Selah

You silence the roar of the seas,the roar of their waves,and the tumult of the nations.

Greater than the roar of many waters—the mighty breakers of the sea—the Lord on high is majestic.

The young lions roar for their preyand seek their food from God.

Do you not fear Me?This is the Lord’s declaration.Do you not tremble before Me,the One who set the sand as the boundary of the sea,an enduring barrier that it cannot cross?The waves surge, but they cannot prevail.They roar but cannot pass over it.

This is what the Lord says:The One who gives the sun for light by day,the fixed order of moon and stars for light by night,who stirs up the sea and makes its waves roar—Yahweh of Hosts is His name:

They will roar together like young lions;they will growl like lion cubs.

For the Lord is going to devastate Babylon;He will silence her mighty voice.Their waves roar like abundant waters;the tumult of their voice resounds,

When they moved, I heard the sound of their wings like the roar of mighty waters, like the voice of the Almighty, and a sound of commotion like the noise of an army. When they stood still, they lowered their wings.

They will follow the Lord;He will roar like a lion.When He roars,His children will come trembling from the west.

The Lord will roar from Zionand raise His voice from Jerusalem;heaven and earth will shake.But the Lord will be a refuge for His people,a stronghold for the Israelites.

Does a lion roar in the forestwhen it has no prey?Does a young lion growl from its lairunless it has captured something?

Listen to the wail of the shepherds,for their glory is destroyed.Listen to the roar of young lions,for the thickets of the Jordan are destroyed.
