If I call to the pit, ‘You are my father’;
To the worm, ‘my mother and my sister’;

For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.

And worms cover them.

All flesh would perish together,
And man would return to dust.

That he should live on eternally,
That he should not undergo decay.

You hide Your face, they are dismayed;

All go to the same place. All came from the dust and all return to the dust.

but He whom God raised did not undergo decay.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body;

Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.
