“For behold, I am commanding,
And I will shake the house of Israel among all nations
As grain is shaken in a sieve,
But not a kernel will fall to the ground.
Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven.
My God will cast them away
Because they have not listened to Him;
And they will be wanderers among the nations.
and sold the sons of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their territory,
Also I scattered them among the nations and they were dispersed throughout the lands. According to their ways and their deeds I judged them.
The Jews then said to one another, “Where does this man intend to go that we will not find Him? He is not intending to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks, is He?
One third of you will die by plague or be consumed by famine among you, one third will fall by the sword around you, and one third I will scatter to every wind, and I will unsheathe a sword behind them.
Behold, the Lord lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface and scatters its inhabitants.
I will scatter them among the nations, whom neither they nor their fathers have known; and I will send the sword after them until I have annihilated them.”
But Judah will be inhabited forever
And Jerusalem for all generations.
Then the Lord said, “Thus will the sons of Israel eat their bread unclean among the nations where I will banish them.”
Therefore, fathers will eat their sons among you, and sons will eat their fathers; for I will execute judgments on you and scatter all your remnant to every wind.
Also I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them among the lands,
“Righteousness belongs to You, O Lord, but to us open shame, as it is this day—to the men of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem and all Israel, those who are nearby and those who are far away in all the countries to which You have driven them, because of their unfaithful deeds which they have committed against You.
But Judah will be inhabited forever And Jerusalem for all generations. And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged, For the LORD dwells in Zion.
So I said, "Where are you going?" And he said to me, "To measure Jerusalem, to see how wide it is and how long it is." And behold, the angel who was speaking with me was going out, and another angel was coming out to meet him, and said to him, "Run, speak to that young man, saying, 'Jerusalem will be inhabited without walls because of the multitude of men and cattle within it. read more.
'For I,' declares the LORD, 'will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.'"
And in that day The mountains will drip with sweet wine, And the hills will flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah will flow with water; And a spring will go out from the house of the LORD To water the valley of Shittim. Egypt will become a waste, And Edom will become a desolate wilderness, Because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, In whose land they have shed innocent blood.
