How can ye believe, who take glory one from another, and seek not the glory that comes only from God? Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father; there is one that accuses you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me, for he wrote of me. read more.
But if ye do not believe his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken), do ye say of him whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God? read more.
If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me. But if I do, though ye do not believe me, believe the works that ye may know and believe that the Father is in me and I in him.

Jesus said unto him, Have I been such a long time with you, and yet thou hast not known me, Philip? He that has seen me has seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself; but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me, or else believe me for the very works' sake.

Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He has spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? Behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we do not stone thee, but for blasphemy; and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Jesus said unto him, I AM the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also; and from now on ye know him and have seen him. Philip said unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it will suffice us. read more.

Jesus spoke these words and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; clarify thy Son, that thy Son may also clarify thee, as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. read more.
I have clarified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou didst give me to do. And now, O Father, clarify thou me with thine own self with that clarity which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou didst give me out of the world; thine they were, and thou didst give them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them; I do not pray for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all my things are thine, and thine are mine; and I have been clarified in them. And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, those whom thou hast given me, keep them in thy name, that they may be one, as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name; those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not pray that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in thy truth; thy word is the truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified in the truth. Neither do I pray for these alone, but also for those who shall believe in me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the clarity which thou gavest me I have given them, that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfect in one and that the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them as thou hast loved me.

And they celebrated the dedication in Jerusalem, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. Then the Jews came round about him and said unto him, Until when wilt thou hold our soul in suspense? If thou art the Christ, tell us plainly. read more.
Jesus answered them, I have told you, and ye do not believe; the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone pluck them out of my hand. My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no one is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I showed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we do not stone thee, but for blasphemy; and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God. Jesus answered him, I spoke openly to the world; I always taught in the synagogue and in the temple, where all the Jews gather; and I have said nothing in secret.

And they returned to Jerusalem, and as he was walking in the temple, the princes of the priests and the scribes and the elders came and said unto him, By what faculty doest thou these things? and who gave thee this faculty to do these things? Then Jesus, answering, said unto them, I will also ask of you one word, and respond unto me, and I will tell you with what faculty I do these things. read more.
The baptism of John, was it of heaven or of men? Respond unto me. Then they thought inside themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven, he will say, Why then did ye not believe him? But if we shall say, Of men, we fear the people, for everyone judged regarding John that he truly was a prophet. And answering, they said unto Jesus, We do not know. And Jesus, answering, said unto them, Neither shall I tell you with what faculty I do these things.

And answering, Jesus said, while he taught in the temple, How do the scribes say that the Christ is Son of David? For David himself said by the Holy Spirit, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. David therefore himself calls him Lord, and where then is he his son? And the many people heard him gladly. read more.
And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the scribes, who love to go in long clothing and love the salutations in the marketplaces and the first chairs in the synagogues and the first seats at the suppers, which devour widows' houses and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater judgment. And with Jesus sitting in front of the ark of the offering, he beheld how the people cast money into the ark and many that were rich cast in much. And as there came a certain poor widow, she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. Then calling his disciples, he said unto them, Verily I say unto you that this poor widow has cast more in than all those who have cast into the treasury, for they all did cast in of their abundance, but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not, but it is this way that the scriptures might be fulfilled.

Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him whole. And for this reason the Jews persecuted Jesus and sought to kill him: because he had done these things on a sabbath. read more.
But Jesus answered them, My Father works until now, and I work.

Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. And the Jews marvelled, saying, How does this man know letters, having never learned? Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. read more.
If anyone desires to do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God or whether I speak of myself. He that speaks of himself seeks his own glory, but he that seeks the glory of him that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do ye go about to kill me? The people answered and said, Thou hast a demon; who goes about to kill thee? Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. If a man on the sabbath day receives circumcision without the law of Moses being broken, are ye angry at me because I have made a man entirely whole on the sabbath day? Judge not according to the appearance, but judge with righteous judgment. Then one of those of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill? But, behold, he speaks boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Have the rulers truly understood that this is indeed the Christ? But we know where this man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one shall know where he is from. Then Jesus cried out in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye know me, and ye know from where I come, but I have not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.

For we have not made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, following cunningly devised fables, but as eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And we heard this voice which came from heaven, when we were together with him in the holy mount.

Then Peter answered and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to remain here; if thou desire, let us make three tabernacles here: one for thee and one for Moses and one for Elijah. While he yet spoke, behold, a cloud of light overshadowed them, and, behold, a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

Then Peter answering, said unto Jesus, Master, it shall be good for us to remain here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for thee, and another for Moses, and another for Elijah. For he knew not what he was saying, for he was beside himself. And a cloud came that overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son; hear ye him.

And it came to pass as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to remain here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for thee and one for Moses and one for Elijah, not knowing what he said. While he was speaking this, a cloud came and overshadowed them; and they feared as they entered into the cloud. And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son; hear him.

Ye men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know,

that everyone should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who has sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word and believes him that sent me has eternal life and shall not come into judgment but has passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour shall come, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live. read more.
For as the Father has life in himself, so has he given to the Son to have life in himself and has also given him power and authority to execute judgment because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this, for an hour shall come when all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and those that have done good shall come forth unto the resurrection of life; but those that have done evil, unto the resurrection of judgment. I can of my own self do nothing; as I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father who has sent me. If I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true. There is another that bears witness of me, and I know that the witness which he witnesses of me is true. Ye sent unto John, and he bore witness unto the truth. But I receive not testimony from man, but I say these things that ye might be saved. He was a burning and a shining light, and ye were willing to rejoice for one hour in his light. But I have greater testimony than that of John; for the works which the Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me that the Father has sent me. And the Father himself, who has sent me, has borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time nor seen his appearance. And ye do not have his word abiding in you; for whom he has sent, him ye do not believe.

Then the Pharisees said unto him, Thou dost bear witness of thyself; thy witness is not true. Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear witness of myself, my witness is true, for I know from where I came and where I go; but ye do not know where I came from and where I go. Ye judge after the flesh, but I judge no one. read more.
And yet if I judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. I AM one that bears witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bears witness of me.

Jesus answered them, I have told you, and ye do not believe; the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; read more.

And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour comes in which the Son of man shall be clarified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except the grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone; but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit. He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. read more.
If anyone serves me, let them follow me; and where I am, there shall my servant be also; the one that serves me, will my Father honour. Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour, but for this have I come in this hour. Father, clarify thy name. Then there came a voice from the heaven, saying, I have clarified it and will clarify it again. The people, therefore, that were present and heard it, said that it thundered; others said, An angel spoke to him. Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes.

Who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is Jesus, the Christ, who came by water and blood; not by water only, but by water and blood. And the Spirit is he that bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. read more.
And there are three that bear witness on earth, the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree in one. If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he has testified of his Son.
