But the hired one, and not being the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and he leaves the sheep, and flees: and the wolf plunders them, and scatters the sheep. The hired flees, because he is hired, and no care is to him for the sheep. I am the good shepherd, and I know mine, and am known by mine. As the Father knows me, I also know the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And I have, other sheep, which are not of this court-yard: and I must also bring them, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one flock, and one shepherd.
