For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God; for God giveth not him the Spirit by measure. The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son, hath everlasting life: but he that obeyeth not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

There is another that testifieth of me, and I know that the testimony which he testifieth of me is valid. Ye sent to John, and he bare testimony to the truth.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a testimony, to testify of the light, that all thro' it might believe. He was not the light, but was sent to testify of the light. read more.

Ye sent to John, and he bare testimony to the truth. But I receive not testimony from man; but these things I say, that ye may be saved. He was a burning and a shining light, and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
