After these things Jesus resided in Galilee: for He would not appear in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. For no man doth any thing in secret, who is himself desirous to be known in public. As thou dost these wonderful things, make thyself known to the world. For neither did his brethren believe in Him. Then saith Jesus unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always alike ready; for the world cannot hate you: but me it hates, because I bear my testimony concerning it, that it's deeds are evil. Go ye up to this feast as soon as ye please; for I am not yet going up to it, because my time is not yet fully come. And after He had said these things unto them, He stayed a while in Galilee. But when his brethren were gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not in a public manner but as it were in private. The Jews therefore sought for Him at the feast, and said, Where is He? And there was much murmuring among the people concerning Him: for some said, He is a good man; others said, No: He deceiveth the people. No one however spake openly in favor of Him, for fear of the Jews. But when it was now about the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
