The man answered, and said unto them, Why this is something strange, that ye know not whence He is, and yet He hath opened mine eyes. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a servant of God, and do his will, him He heareth. From the beginning of the world it was never heard, that any one opened the eyes of a person that was born blind. And if this man were not from God, He could do nothing. They answered, and said unto him, Thou wast wholly born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out. Now Jesus heard that they had turned him out of the synagogue; and when He met him, He said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is He, Lord, that I may believe on Him? Jesus said unto him, Thou hast seen Him, and it is He that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe; and worshipped Him.

Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this scripture, preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came to a certain water: and the eunuch said, See here is water, what hindereth me from being baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
And when Silas and Timothy came down from Macedonia, Paul was very urgent in spirit, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.
Then said Paul, John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people, that they should believe in Him that was coming after him, that is, in Christ Jesus. And when they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
and believe in thine heart, that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him, shall not be ashamed.
If we say that we have communion with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practise the truth:
He that saith, I know Him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
