Then one of the twelve, the one called Judas Iscariot, going to the high priests, said, "What are ye willing to give me, and I will deliver Him up to you?" And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he was seeking an opportunity to deliver Him up.

Then Judas, who betrayed Him, seeing that He was condemned, repenting, brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the high priests and the elders, saying, "I sinned, having betrayed innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? You may see to that." And, throwing the pieces of silver into the temple, he withdrew; and, going away, he hanged himself.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went away to the high priests, that he might deliver Him up to them. And they, hearing it, rejoiced, and promised to give him money. And he was seeking how he might conveniently deliver Him up.

And Satan entered into Judas, the one called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve; and, departing, he consulted with the high priests and captains, how he might deliver Him up to them. And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money. read more.
And he agreed, and was seeking an opportunity to deliver Him up to them, in the absence of a multitude.

While He was yet speaking, behold, a multitude, and he who is called Judas, one of the twelve, was coming before them; and he drew near to Jesus to kiss Him. And Jesus said to him, "Judas, do ye betray the Son of Man with a kiss?"

"Brethren, it was necessary that the Scripture should be fulfilled, which the Holy Spirit spake beforehand, through the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who became guide to those who arrested Jesus; because he was numbered among us, and obtained the portion of this ministry. This man, therefore, acquired a field with the reward of unrighteousness; and, falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out;

Jesus answered them, "Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?" But He was speaking of Judas, son of Simon Iscariot; for he was about to betray Him, being one of the twelve.

Now, before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that His hour came that He should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end. And, supper being in progress, the Devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him,

Having spoken these things, Jesus went forth with His disciples beyond the winter-brook Kidron, where was a garden, into which He entered Himself and His disciples. And Judas also, who betrayed Him, knew the place; because Jesus ofttimes resorted thither with His disciples. Judas, therefore, having received the band of soldiers and officers from the high priests and the Pharisees, comes thither with lanterns, and torches, and weapons. read more.

Now he that was betraying Him gave them a signal, saying, "Whomsoever I shall kiss, This is He, take Him, and lead Him away securely." And, having come, going straightway to Him, he says, "Rabbi;" and kissed Him.

When, therefore, He washed their feet, and took His garments, and reclined again, He said to them, "Do ye know what I have done to you? read more.

Jesus spake these things; and, lifting up His eyes to Heaven, said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Thy Son, that the Son may glorify Thee; even as Thou gavest Him authority over all flesh, that to all Whom Thou hast given Him He should give eternal life. Having said these things, Jesus was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, "Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you will betray Me." The disciples were looking one on another, doubting about whom He was speaking. There was at the table reclining in Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.
