Now I beseech you, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind or terrified, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter, as from us, as if the day of the Lord were at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come, unless the falling away come first, and the man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, read more.
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sitteth in the temple of God as God, declaring himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that I told you these things, when I was yet with you? And now ye know that which with-holdeth, that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already worketh; only he that with-holdeth will with-hold, till he be taken out of the way. And then will that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the Spirit of his mouth, and destroy with the brightness of his coming: Whose coming is after the mighty working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceiveableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And therefore God shall send them strong delusion, so that that they shall believe a lie, That they all may be condemned, who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

And Jesus going out of the temple departed: and his disciples came to him, to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, See ye not all these things? Verily I say to you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, which shall not be thrown down. And as he sat on the mount of Olives, his disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? read more.
And Jesus answering said, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many. And ye will hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled; for all these things must come to pass: but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in divers places: All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you to be afflicted, and shall kill you; and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to all the world, for a testimony to all nations: and then shall the end come. When therefore ye see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (he that readeth, let him understand;) Then let them who are in Judea flee to the mountains: Let not him that is on the house-top, come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes. But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days. And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world to this time, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened. Then if any say to you, Lo here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For false Christs and false prophets shall arise and shew great signs and wonders, so that they would deceive (if it were possible) even the elect. Behold I have told you before. Therefore if they say to you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not forth: Behold he is in the secret chambers, believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even to the west, so shall also the coming of the son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light; and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he shall send forth his angels, with a loud-sounding trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Learn a parable from the fig-tree: when its branch is now tender and shooteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh. So likewise when ye see all these things, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Verily I say to you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, neither the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were benore the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, till the day that Noah entered into the ark. And knew not, till the flood came and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field: one is taken, and one is left. Two women shall be grinding in the mill; one is taken, and one is left. Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord cometh. But ye know this, that if the housholder had known, in what watch the thief would have come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broke open. Therefore be ye also ready: for at an hour ye think not, the Son of man cometh.

And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith to him, Master, see what manner of stones, and what manner of buildings! Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? And Jesus answering said, Take heed lest any deceive you. For many will come in my name saying, I am Christ, and will deceive many. But when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be not troubled; for it must be; but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginning of sorrows. But take heed to yourselves for they will deliver you to councils, and ye shall be beaten in synagogues, and shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them. And the gospel must first be published among all nations. But when they shall hale you and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak; for it is not yet that speak, but the Holy Ghost. Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son: and children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake; but he that endureth to the end, he shall be saved. But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand) then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains: And let not him that is on the house-top go down into the house, neither enter in, to take any thing out of his house. And let not him that is in the field, turn back to take up his garment. But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days. And pray ye that your flight be not in the winter. For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creat`on, which God created until now, neither shall be. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with power and great glory. Then said he to them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. But before all these things they shall lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my names sake. And it shall turn to you for a testimony. Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to premeditate what to answer. For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay or resist. But ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated by all men for my names sake. But there shall not an hair of your head perish. In your patience possess ye your souls. And when ye see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let them that are in the midst of it, depart out, and let not them that are in the countries, enter thereinto. For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But wo to them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days; for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath on this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden by the Gentiles, till the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. And there shall be signs in the sun, and moon, and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea roaring and tossing: Men fainting away for fear, and expectation of the things coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud, with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. And he spake a parable to them, Behold the fig-tree and all the trees. When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of yourselves, that summer is now nigh. So likewise when ye see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is nigh. Verily I say unto you, this generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away. But take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overloaded with gluttony, and drunkenness, and the cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore and pray always, that ye may be counted worthy to escape all these things which will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like ten virgins, who taking their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom. But five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish, taking their lamps, took not oil with them. read more.
But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, Behold the bridegroom cometh: come ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said to the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage; and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answering said, Verily I say to you, I know you not. Watch therefore; for ye know not the day nor the hour.

Take heed; watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore; for ye know not when the master of the house cometh; at evening, or at midnight, or at cock-crowing, or in the morning: read more.
Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say to you, I say to all, Watch.

Let your loins be girt, and your lamps burning, And be like men that wait for their Lord, when he will return from the wedding, that, when he cometh and knocketh, they may open to him immediately. Happy are those servants, whom the Lord, when he cometh, shall find watching; verily I say to you, that he will gird himself, and make them sit down to table, and will come forth and serve them. read more.
And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, happy are those servants. And this ye know, that if the master of the house had known, what hour the thief would have come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broke open. Therefore be ye also ready; for the Son of man cometh in an hour when ye think not.

And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh Jerusalem, and because they thought the kingdom of God would immediately appear. He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom and to return. And having called ten of his servants, he gave them ten pounds, and said unto them, Trade till I come. read more.
But his citizens hated him, and sent an embassy after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. And when he was returned, having received the kingdom, he commanded these servants to be called to him, to whom he had given the money, to know what each had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. And he said to him, Well done, good servant; because thou hast been faithful in a very little, be thou governor over ten cities. And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. And he said to him likewise, Be thou also over five cities. And another came saying, Lord, behold thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin. For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up what thou layest not down, and reapest what thou didst not sow. And he saith to him, Out of thy own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I am an austere man, taking up what I laid not down, and reaping what I did not sow. Wherefore then gavest thou not my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have received it with interest? And he said to them that stood by, Take the pound from him, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. (And they said to him, Lord, he hath ten pounds!) For I say unto you, To every one that hath shall be given: but from him that hath not, even what he hath shall be taken away from him. Moreover those my enemies, who would not that I should reign over them, bring hither and slay before me.

Learn a parable from the fig-tree: when its branch is now tender and shooteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh. So likewise when ye see all these things, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. Verily I say to you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.

Now learn a parable from the fig-tree. When its branch is now tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near. So likewise when ye see these things come to pass, know that he is nigh, even at the door. Verily I say to you, this generation shall in no wise pass, till all these things be done.

And he said to the people also, When ye see a cloud rising out of the west, straitway ye say, There cometh a heavy shower, and so it is. And when ye find the south wind blowing, ye say, There will be sultry heat; and it is so. Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the earth and of the sky: how do ye not discern this season?

So shall it be at the end of the world. The angels shall come forth and sever the wicked from among the just.

And, Thou, Lord, hast in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of thy hands. They shall perish, but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

For then he must often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once at the consummation of the ages hath he been manifested, to abolish sin by the sacrifice of himself.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth, and the works that are therein, shall be burnt up.

And as some spake of the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ: And the time is near. Go ye not after them. Then said he to them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines and pestilences, and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith to him, Master, see what manner of stones, and what manner of buildings! And Jesus answering said to him, Seest thou these great buildings? There shall not be left one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat on the mount of Olives, over-against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, read more.
And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened those days. Then if any man say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or lo, he is there, believe it not. For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds, with power and great glory. And then shall he send his angels, and gather together his elect, from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth, to the uttermost part of heaven. Now learn a parable from the fig-tree. When its branch is now tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near. So likewise when ye see these things come to pass, know that he is nigh, even at the door. Verily I say to you, this generation shall in no wise pass, till all these things be done.

And Jesus going out of the temple departed: and his disciples came to him, to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, See ye not all these things?
