And they come to Jericho. And as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the way-side begging. And when he heard, It is Jesus of Nazareth, he cried out and said, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him to hold his peace; but he cried so much the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. read more.
And Jesus standing still, commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying to him, Take courage; rise; he calleth thee. And casting away his garment, he rose and came to Jesus. And Jesus answering said to him, What wilt thou that I should do for thee? The blind man said to him, Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said, Go; thy faith hath saved thee. And immediately he received his sight, and followed him in the way.

And as they were going from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. And behold two blind men sitting by the way-side, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. And the multitude charged them to hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David. read more.
And Jesus standing still called them and said, What do ye desire that I should do to you? They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. So Jesus moved with tender compassion, touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

And while he was yet nigh to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging. And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked, what it meant? And they told him, Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. read more.

And the multitudes that went before and that followed after cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David; blessed in the name of the Lord is he that cometh: Hosanna in the highest.

And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, Those concerning Jesus of Nazareth (who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,

what have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy one of God.

And they told him, Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.
