And the steward said in himself, What shall I do? For my lord taketh away the stewardship from me. I cannot dig, to beg I am ashamed.

Then the servant falling prostrate at his feet, said, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And the lord of that servant, moved with tender compassion, loosed him and forgave him the debt. But that servant going out, found one of his fellow-servants who owed him an hundred pence, and seized him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest.read more.
And his fellow-servant falling at his feet, besought him saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not, but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. But his fellow-servants, seeing what was done, were very sorry, and came and gave their lord an exact account of the whole matter. Then his lord calling him, said to him, Thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou intreatedst me.

And they come to Jericho. And as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the way-side begging.

And while he was yet nigh to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging.

And there was a certain beggar, named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, full of sores; and desiring to be fed with the crumbs that fell from the rich man's table: yea, the dogs also came and licked his sores.

Then the neighbours and they who had seen him before, when he was blind, said, Is not this he who used to sit begging?

And a certain man, lame from his mother's womb, was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that were entering into the temple, Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked an alms.

She hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

For ye have the poor always with you, and when ye will, ye may do them good; but me ye have not always.

Ye have the poor always with you: but me ye have not always.

Give to him that asketh thee, and him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Give to every man that asketh thee, and of him that taketh away thy goods, ask them not again.

Jesus saith to him, If thou desirest to be perfect, go, sell what thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.

Then Jesus looking upon him, loved him, and said to him, One thing thou lackest: Go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me, taking up thy cross.

Sell all that thou hast, and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.

Sell what ye have and give alms: provide yourselves purses which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

But when thou makest an entertainment, invite the poor,

Then he said, I pray thee, therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought to him all that were diseased; And besought him, that they might touch but the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

And wheresoever he entered into villages, cities, or country-places, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the hem of his garment; and as many as touched him were made whole.

So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go into the herd of swine.

And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us to the swine, that we may go into them.

And there was an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him, that he would suffer them to enter into them.

And behold a woman of Canaan, of those coasts, came and cried to him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David: my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

having heard of him, came and fell at his feet, (The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation) and besought him to cast the devil out of her daughter.

And they bring to him one that was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and beseech him to put his hand upon him.

And when he heard, It is Jesus of Nazareth, he cried out and said, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

And when he was in a certain city, behold a man full of leprosy, who seeing Jesus, fell on his face, and besought him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

And there came to him a leper beseeching him and kneeling down to him and saying to him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

But seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What hast thou to do with me, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I beseech thee, torment me not.

And behold a man from the croud, cried aloud saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son; for he is my only child. And lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out, and it teareth him, that he foameth, and bruising him, hardly departeth from him. And I besought thy disciples to cast him out, and they could not.

When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to him, and besought him, to come down and heal his son; for he was at the point of death.
