And a certain man, lame from his mother's womb, was being carried along, whom they were wont to lay daily at the gate of the temple??hich was called "Beautiful"??o ask alms of those entering the temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, was asking to receive an alms. read more.

And, as he was holding Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch, which is called Solomon's, greatly astonished. And Peter, seeing it, spake to the people, "Men of Israel, why do ye wonder at this? Or why look ye so intently on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk
