For His invisible things, since the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being perceived by the things that are made, even His everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse:

knowing this, first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of one's own interpretation; for prophecy was never brought by the will of man, but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.

Every Scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;

No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, Who is in the bosom of the Father, He declared Him.

God, having in many parts and many ways spoken, of old, to the fathers in the prophets, at the end of these days spake to us in His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, through Whom also He constituted the ages; Who, being an effulgence of His glory and an exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made a purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld His glory??lory as of the Only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.

Who is the image of the invisible God, Primal Source of all creation;

because in Him dwells all the fulness of the Godhead bodily;

And they, having heard it, were going out, one by one, from the eldest to the last; and Jesus was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the midst.

(for, when gentiles who have no law do by nature the things of the law, these, having no law, are a law to themselves; who, indeed, show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience testifying with it, and between one another their thoughts accusing or even excusing them;)

Who, in the past generations, suffered all the nations to walk in their own ways; and yet He left not Himself without witness, doing good, giving you rains from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness."

and He made of one every nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, having marked out their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek God, if, perhaps, they might feel after Him, and find Him, although, in truth, He is not far from each one of us;

And, while thinking of these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, fear not to take to yourself Mary your wife; for that which was begotten in her is of the Holy Spirit.

And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And Zacharias, seeing him, was troubled; and fear fell upon him. But the angel said to him, "Fear not, Zacharias; because your supplication was heard; and your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

And an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them; and they were greatly frightened. And the angel said to them, "Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which, indeed, shall be to all the people; because there was born to-day, in the city of David, a Saviour, Who is Christ the Lord.

And, they having departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appears to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Having risen, take the Child and His mother, and flee into Egypt, and be there till I speak to you; for Herod is about to seek the Child to destroy Him."

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believes on Me, though he die, yet shall he live;

"Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus, the Nazarene, a man accredited from God to you by miracles, and wonders, and signs, which God did through Him in the midst of you, even as ye yourselves know;

For I spake not from Myself; but the Father, Who sent Me, Himself hath given Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Jesus saith to him, "So long a time am I with you, and you do not know Me, Philip! He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how say you, 'Show us the Father?' Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I say to you, I speak not from Myself; but the Father, abiding in Me, doeth His works.

No longer do I call you slaves; because the slave knows not what his lord is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things which I heard from My Father I made known to you.

because the words which Thou gavest Me I have given to them, and they received them, and knew truly that I came forth from Thee, and believed that Thou didst send Me.

And, when He was alone, those who were about Him with the twelve asked Him as to the parables. And He said to them, "To you has been given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but to those without all things are done in parables; that, seeing, they may see, and not perceive; and, hearing, they may hear, and not understand; lest haply they should turn, and be forgiven."

And the disciples, having come near, said to Him, "Wherefore dost Thou speak to them in parables?" And He, answering, said to them, "Because to you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whosoever has, to him shall be given, and he shall be made to abound; but whosoever has not, even what he has shall be taken away from him.read more.
On this account, I speak to them in parables; because, seeing, they see not; and, hearing, they hear not, nor understand. And to them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, 'With hearing ye will hear, and will not understand; and, seeing, ye will see, and will not perceive; for the heart of this people was made gross, and with their ears they heard heavily, and their eyes they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I should heal them.'

And His disciples were asking Him, what this parable might be. And He said, "To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables; that, seeing, they may not see, and, hearing, they may not understand.

All things whatsoever the Father hath are Mine; on this account, I said, that He taketh of Mine, and will declare it to you.

But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all things that I told you.

"When the Advocate shall come, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, Who proceedeth from the Father, He will testify concerning Me;

And, having come, He will convict the world respecting sin, and righteousness, and judgment:

The Spirit Himself testifieth with our spirit, that we are children of God;

And, because ye are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba," Father.

And he that keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him; and in this we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit Whom He gave to us.

and He said to them, "Thus it has been written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise from the dead on the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. Ye are witnesses of these things,

And, while going, preach, saying, 'The Kingdom of Heaven has come nigh.'

going, therefore, disciple ye all the nations, immersing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I commanded you; and, behold, I am with you all the days, even to the end of the age."

And, going forth, they preached that men should repent.

And He said to them, "Going into all the world, preach the Gospel to the whole creation.

but ye shall receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and ye shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and to the utmost limit of the earth."

for we cannot but speak the things which we saw and heard."

for I shrank not from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.

delivering you from the people and the gentiles, to whom I send you, to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins, and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.' Wherefore, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision;read more.
but I declared both to those in Damascus first, and in Jerusalem, and through all the region of Judea, and to the gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

How, then, shall they call on Him in Whom they believed not? and how shall they believe on Him of Whom they heard not? and how shall they hear without a preacher? and how shall they preach, unless they are sent forth? As it has been written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of good things!"

For from you has sounded forth the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith toward God has gone forth; so that we have no need to speak anything;

And they were reasoning one with another, "It is because we have no bread!" And perceiving it, He saith to them, "Why are ye reasoning because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive, nor understand? Have ye your heart hardened? Having eyes, do ye see not? and, having ears, do ye hear not? And, do ye not remember?read more.
When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did ye take up?" They say to Him "Twelve." "And, when the seven among the four thousand, how many basketfuls of pieces did ye take up?" And, they said, "Seven." And He said to them, "Do ye not yet understand?"

And He saith to them, "Know ye not this parable? And how will ye know all the parables?

And Jesus said, "For judgment came I into the world; that those who see not may see, and that those who see may become blind."

He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world knew Him not.

They perceived not that He was speaking to them of the Father.

This parable spake Jesus to them; but they understood not what things they were which He spake to them.

The disciples were looking one on another, doubting about whom He was speaking.

Jesus saith to him, "So long a time am I with you, and you do not know Me, Philip! He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how say you, 'Show us the Father?'

They said, therefore, "What is this that He saith, 'A little while?'??e know not what He saith!"

being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their hearts;

Ye are of your father the Devil; and the desires of your father ye wish to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own; because he is a liar, and the father of it.

because, having known God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor did they give thanks; but they became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and quadrupeds, and reptiles.read more.
Wherefore, God gave them up in the desires of their hearts unto the uncleanness of dishonoring their bodies among themselves; who, indeed, change the truth of God into falsehood; and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever. Amen.

Take heed, brethren, lest at any time there shall be in anyone of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God; but exhort one another daily, so long as it is called "To-day," lest anyone of you be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin;
