I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.

And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude because they held him as a prophet.

Others said, It is Elijah. And others said, It is the prophet or one of the prophets.

And there came a fear on all, and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us, and, That God has visited his people.

Nevertheless I must walk today and tomorrow and the day following, for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

Then he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,


Then those men, as they had seen the sign that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth the prophet that was to come into the world.

Then many of the people, when they heard this word, said, Truly this is the Prophet.

They said unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that has opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things doing whatever he shall say unto you.


And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.



Nevertheless this darkness shall not be the same as the affliction that came upon her when they lightly touched the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, nor afterward when they more grievously afflicted her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the Gentiles.

who also said, Ye men of Galilee, what do ye stand gazing at up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

But when he heard that Archelaus reigned in Judaea in the place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there; notwithstanding, being warned by divine revelation in dreams, he withdrew into the parts of Galilee,

the same came therefore to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, Lord, we desire to see Jesus.

(for which Hiram, the king of Tyre, had furnished Solomon with cedar trees and fir trees and with gold, according to all his desire), that then King Solomon gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.

And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

Then they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in the mountain of Naphtali and Shechem in the mountain of Ephraim, and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah.

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and his fame went out through all the region round about.

When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.

Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall the Christ come out of Galilee?


There shall not be found among you any one that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire or that uses divination or an observer of times or an enchanter or a witch

Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that touches him, for she is a sinner.

And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude because they held him as a prophet.

the same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that thou doest unless God is with him.

The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken,

This is that Moses, who said unto the sons of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren like unto me; him shall ye hear.

And it shall come to pass that every soul which will not hear that prophet shall be destroyed from among the people.

how shall we escape, if we belittle such great saving health? Which, having begun to be published by the Lord, has been confirmed unto us by those that heard him,

And when they came near to Jerusalem unto Bethphage and Bethany at the mount of Olives, he sends forth two of his disciples and said unto them, Go to the place which is before you; and as soon as ye are entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, upon which no man ever sat; loose him and bring him. And if anyone says unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord has need of him, and straightway he will send him here. read more.
And they went and found the colt tied by the door outside between two ways, and they loosed him. And some of those that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt? Then they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded, and they let them go. They brought the colt to Jesus and cast their garments on him, and he sat upon him. And many spread their garments in the way, and others cut down leaves off the trees and spread them in the way. And those that went before and those that followed cried out, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord; blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. And the Lord entered into Jerusalem and into the temple; and when he had looked around upon all things, and it being now late, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.

And when they drew near unto Jerusalem and were come to Bethphage unto the mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, saying unto them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied and a colt with her; loose them and bring them unto me. And if anyone says anything unto you, ye shall say, The Lord has need of them; and straightway he will send them. read more.
All this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Say unto the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King comes unto thee, meek and sitting upon an ass and a colt the foal of a beast under yoke. And the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them and brought the ass and the colt and put on them their clothes, and he sat upon them. And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them in the way. And the people that went before and that followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest. And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying, Go ye into the village over against you, in which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, upon whom no one has ever sat; loose him, and bring him here. And if anyone asks you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord has need of him. read more.
And those that were sent went and found even as he had said unto them. And as they were loosing the colt, its owners said unto them, Why loose ye the colt? And they said, The Lord has need of him. And they brought him to Jesus, and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus upon it. And as he went, they spread their garments in the way. And when he was come near, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, saying, Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that if these should be silent, the stones would immediately cry out. And when he was come near, he beheld the city and wept over it, saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee and compass thee round and constrain thee on every side and shall cast thee down to the ground and thy children within thee, and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

On the next day the multitude that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees and went forth to meet him and cried, Hosanna; Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel. And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat upon it, as it is written, read more.
Fear not, daughter of Sion; behold, thy King comes, sitting on an ass's colt. His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him and that they had done these things unto him. The multitude, therefore, that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave and raised him from the dead, bore witness. For this cause the multitude also met him, for they had heard that he had done this sign. The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.

And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

Then he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,

saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

And they told him that Jesus of Nazareth passes by.

And hearing that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art: the Holy One of God.


And the multitude said, This is Jesus the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.
