And let him which is on the housetop, not come down to fetch anything out of his house. Neither let him which is in the field, return back to fetch his clothes. Woe shall be in those days to them that are with child, and to them that give suck. But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world to this time, nor shall be. Yea, and except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: But for the chosens' sake, those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, 'Lo, here is Christ,' or 'There is Christ': believe it not: for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets and shall do great miracles and wonders. For there shall be in those days such tribulation, as was not from the beginning of creatures, which God created, unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had should shorten those days, no man should be saved. But for the elects' sake, which he hath chosen, he hath shortened those days.
