Then will he answer them, saying, Truly do I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these will go away into everlasting punishment; but the righteous into everlasting life.
And to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised all others, he spoke this parable:
For if we sin willingly after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remaineth a sacrifice for sins; but a certain fearful looking for judgment, and an indignation by fire, which will devour the adversaries.
For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. It hath happened to them according to the true proverb, The dog returned to his own vomit; and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
When they are saying, Peace and safety; then doth sudden destruction come upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
And as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be also in the days of the Son of man.
