And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

When Jesus had spoken these things, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where there was a garden, into which he entered, and his disciples.

And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

And when they had sung the hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

Then Jesus came with them unto a place called Gethsemane and said unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then he said unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death; tarry ye here and watch with me. read more.
And he went a little further and fell on his face, praying and saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. And he came unto the disciples and found them asleep and said unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. He went away again the second time and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me except I drink it, thy will be done. And he came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. And leaving them, he went away again and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then he came unto his disciples and said unto them, Sleep on now and take your rest; behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going; behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

And he came and found them sleeping and said unto Peter: Simon, sleepest thou? Could thou not watch one hour? Watch ye and pray; enter not into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is sick. And again he went away and prayed and spoke the same words. And when he returned, he found them asleep again (for their eyes were heavy), nor did they know what to answer him. And he came the third time and said unto them, Sleep on now and rest; it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of the sinners. Rise up, let us go; behold, he that betrays me is at hand.

And he came out and went as he was wont to the mount of Olives, and his disciples also followed him. And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. And he withdrew from them about a stone's cast and kneeled down and prayed, read more.
saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. And being in agony, he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. And when he rose up from prayer and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow and said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover? And he said, Go into the city to a certain man and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples. And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them, and they made ready the passover. read more.
Now when the evening was come, he sat down at the table with the twelve. And as they ate, he said, Verily I say unto you that one of you shall betray me. And they were exceeding sorrowful and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? And he answered and said, He that dips his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. The Son of man goes as it is written of him, but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born. Then Judas, who was betraying him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said. And as they were eating, Jesus took the bread, and, having blessed it, broke it and gave it to the disciples and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And taking the cup and having given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink from now on of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom. And when they had sung a hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

And he sends forth two of his disciples and said unto them, Go into the city, and a man shall meet you bearing a pitcher of water; follow him. And wherever he shall go in, say to the husband of the house, The Master says, Where is the guestchamber where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? read more.

And they began to be sorrowful and to say unto him one by one, shall it be I? and another said, shall it be I? And when the hour was come, he sat down at the table, and the twelve apostles with him. And he said unto them, With desire I have greatly desired to eat this passover lamb with you before I suffer; for I say unto you, I will not eat any more thereof until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God. And taking the cup, having given thanks, he said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves, for I say unto you, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God shall come. And taking bread, having given thanks, he broke it and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me. Likewise also he took and gave them the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
