And, when they led Him away, laying hold of one Simon a Cyrenian, coming from the country, they laid on him the cross, to bear it after Jesus. And there was following Him a great multitude of people, and of women, who bewailed and lamented Him But, turning towards them, Jesus said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, weep not for Me; but weep for yourselves, and for your children; read more.

They said, therefore, one to another, "Let us not rend it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be; that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, 'They divided My garments among themselves, and upon My vesture did they cast lots.'"
