Therefore, welcome him in the Lord with all joy and hold men like him in honor, Verse ConceptsHonorMinistry, In The ChurchReputationWelcoming BelieversRejoicing In ReliefRespect For Peoplewelcome

Now we ask you, brothers, to give recognition to those who labor among you and lead you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.

If Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear from you, because he is doing the Lord's work, just as I am. Therefore no one should look down on him; but you should send him on his way in peace so he can come to me, for I am expecting him with the brothers.

I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last you have renewed your care for me. You were, in fact, concerned about me, but lacked the opportunity [to show it]. I don't say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret [of being content]-whether well-fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. read more.
I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me. Still, you did well by sharing with me in my hardship. And you, Philippians, know that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone. For even in Thessalonica you sent [gifts] for my need several times. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that is increasing to your account. But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you provided-a fragrant offering, a welcome sacrifice, pleasing to God.

With You I can attack a barrier, and with my God I can leap over a wall. God-His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is pure. He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is a rock? Only our God. read more.
God-He clothes me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer and sets me securely on the heights.

Give us aid against the foe, for human help is worthless. With God we will perform valiantly; He will trample our foes.

Yahweh my Lord is my strength;
He makes my feet like those of a deer
and enables me to walk on mountain heights!
