The wild animals of the desert honor me, the jackals and ostriches, because I put water in the desert and streams in the wilderness, to quench the thirst of my chosen people,

Finally, pray for us, brothers and sisters, that the Lord's message may spread quickly and be honored as in fact it was among you,

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels in a circle around the throne, as well as the living creatures and the elders. but we see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by God's grace he would experience death on behalf of everyone.

God delivers me and exalts me; God is my strong protector and my shelter.

I will take away their humiliation and make the whole earth admire and respect them. At that time I will lead you -- at the time I gather you together. Be sure of this! If anyone wants to serve me, he must follow me, and where I am, my servant will be too. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

There will be affliction and distress on everyone who does evil, on the Jew first and also the Greek, but glory and honor and peace for everyone who does good, for the Jew first and also the Greek. For there is no partiality with God.

Be devoted to one another with mutual love, showing eagerness in honoring one another.

So welcome him in the Lord with great joy, and honor people like him,

Elders who provide effective leadership must be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard in speaking and teaching.
