Receive him therefore in the Lord with all joy, and hold such in honor,
But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you, and to respect and honor them in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.
Remember your leaders, men who spoke to you the word of God, and considering the results of their conduct, imitate their faith.

I am filled, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
