Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.

For you were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is well pleasing to the Lord.

Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him.

For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I would not be a servant of Christ.

But even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who tests our hearts.

I know also, my God, that you try the heart, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things. Now have I seen with joy your people, that are present here, offer willingly to you.

For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.

For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness. Evil can't live with you.

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving. It will please the LORD better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs.

He doesn't delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man. The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.

For the LORD takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with salvation.

Those who are perverse in heart are an abomination to the LORD, but those whose ways are blameless are his delight.

Lying lips are an abomination to the LORD, but those who do the truth are his delight.

The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

"What are the multitude of your sacrifices to me?," says the LORD. "I have had enough of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed animals. I do not delight in the blood of bulls, or of lambs, or of male goats. When you come to appear before me, who has required this at your hand, to trample my courts? Bring no more vain offerings. Incense is an abomination to me; new moons, Sabbaths, and convocations: I can't bear with evil assemblies.

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?" says the Lord GOD; "and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?

Tell them, 'As I live,' says the Lord GOD, 'I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, house of Israel?'

This is what the LORD of hosts says: "Consider your ways.

Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.

The steps of a man are established by the LORD, and he delights in his way.

Blessed is the LORD your God, who delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel. Because of the LORD's eternal love for Israel, therefore made he you king, to do justice and righteousness."

He prays to God, and he is favorable to him, so that he sees his face with joy. He restores to man his righteousness.

When a man's ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, make you complete in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever. Amen.

Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God's will remains forever.

Remember to me, my God, for good, all that I have done for this people.

But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.
