I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.

The crowds said, "This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee."

When they sought to seize him, they feared the crowds, because they considered him to be a prophet.

But others said, "He is Elijah." Others said, "He is a prophet, like one of the prophets."

Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us." and, "God has visited his people."

Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, for it cannot be that a prophet perish outside of Jerusalem.'

He said to them, "What things?" They said to him, "The things concerning Jesus, the Nazarene, a man who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;


When therefore the people saw the sign which Jesus did, they said, "This is truly the Prophet who comes into the world."

Some of the crowd therefore, when they heard these words, said, "This is truly the Prophet."

Therefore they asked the blind man again, "What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?" He said, "He is a prophet."

For Moses indeed said to the fathers, 'The Lord your God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.




He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.




"Blessed be the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. There has not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by Moses his servant.



For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace, to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all.

Your statutes stand firm. Holiness adorns your house, LORD, forevermore.

The works of his hands are truth and justice. All his precepts are sure.

For I am the LORD; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed; it shall be no more deferred: for in your days, rebellious house, will I speak the word, and will perform it,' says the Lord GOD."

He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our rulers who ruled us, by bringing on us a great calamity; for under the whole heaven such has not been done as has been done on Jerusalem.


And when the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, "Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you."

The king said to Esther at the banquet of wine, "What is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your request? Even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed."

The king said again to Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, "What is your petition, queen Esther? It shall be granted you. What is your request? Even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed."

most certainly as I vowed to you by the LORD, the God of Israel, saying, 'Assuredly Solomon your son shall be king after me, and he shall sit on my throne in my place;' so I certainly will do this day."

The king said to Esther the queen, "The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in the citadel of Susa, including the ten sons of Haman; what then have they done in the rest of the king's provinces. Now what is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your further request? It shall be done."
