This is a faithful saying, If a man desireth the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine, That the aged men be vigilant, serious, prudent, sound in faith, love, patience: That the aged women in like manner, be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things: read more.

For the saving grace of God hath appeared to all men, Teaching us, that, having renounced ungodliness and all wordly desires, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present world,
