I have seen that there is nothing better than for a person to enjoy his activities because that is his reward. For who can enable him to see what will happen after he dies?
For who knows what is good for man in life, in the few days of his futile life that he spends like a shadow? Who can tell man what will happen after him under the sun?
For man certainly does not know his time: like fish caught in a cruel net or like birds caught in a trap, so people are trapped in an evil time as it suddenly falls on them.
Yet the fool multiplies words.
No one knows what will happen,
and who can tell anyone what will happen after him?
Give a portion to seven or even to eight,
for you don’t know what disaster may happen on earth.
But know this: If the homeowner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter
and the glory of kings to investigate a matter.
He said, “Go on your way, Daniel, for the words are secret and sealed until the time of the end.
“Now concerning that day or hour no one knows—neither the angels in heaven nor the Son—except the Father.
But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or even to look in it.
And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write. Then I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders said, and do not write it down!”
but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for on the day you eat from it, you will certainly die.”
Jesus answered him, “What I’m doing you don’t understand now, but afterward you will know.”
“I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.
For now we see indistinctly, as in a mirror,
but then face to face.
Now I know in part,
but then I will know fully,
as I am fully known.
This was not made known to people in other generations as it is now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit:
Dear friends, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet been revealed. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him because we will see Him as He is.
