The law of the LORD is an undefiled law, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, and giveth wisdom unto simple.

The sting of death is sin: and the strength of sin is the law.
For the commandment is a lantern, and the law a light: yea, chastening and nurture is the way of life:
because that by the deeds of the law, shall no flesh be justified in the sight of God. For by the law cometh the knowledge of sin.

Was that, then, which is good made death unto me? God forbid. Nay, sin was death unto me, that it might appear: how that sin by the means of that which is good, had wrought death in me: that sin which is under the commandment, might be out of measure sinful. For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin: because I know not what I do. For what I would, that do I not: but what I hate, that do I. If I do now that which I would not, I grant to the law that it is good.

Wherefore then serveth the law? The law was added because of transgression - till the seed came, to which the promise was made - and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. A mediator is not a mediator of one. But God is one. Is the law, then, against the promise of God? God forbid. Howbeit, if there had been a law given which could have given life: then no doubt righteousness should have come by the law. read more.

We know that the son of God is come, and hath given us understanding, to know him that is true: and we be in the truth through his son Jesus Christ. He is very God, and eternal life.
Every man, no doubt, hath a mind; but it is the inspiration of the Almighty that giveth understanding.
