The rod and reproof give wisdom; but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame.
For the commandment is a lamp, and the teaching a light, and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
An ear-ring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, is a wise reprover upon an attentive ear.
