They repay me evil for good,
To the bereavement of my soul.

And those who repay evil for good,
They oppose me, because I follow what is good.


He who returns evil for good,
Evil will not depart from his house.

Should good be repaid with evil?
For they have dug a pit for me.
Remember how I stood before You
To speak good on their behalf,
So as to turn away Your wrath from them.

Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?”

I went about as though it were my friend or brother; I bowed down mourning, as one who sorrows for a mother. Like godless jesters at a feast, They gnashed at me with their teeth.
