Blessed is the man who trusts in Jehovah, whose refuge and security (confidence and hope) is Jehovah. For he will be like a tree planted by the water. If God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, won't he care for you even more? You of little faith! Do not worry! Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit to your life? If you are not able to do even that which is least why worry about the rest? Consider the way the lilies grow. If God clothes the grasses in the field, which is here today and is cast into the oven tomorrow, how much more will he clothe you? You have little faith. Do not seek food and drink and do not worry. For the people of the nations seek after these things. Your Father knows that you need them. Seek first his kingdom and these things will be added to you. Do not fear little flock for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you at the proper time. Throw all your anxiety upon him, because he cares for you.
