Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you mockers who rule this people in Jerusalem. For you said, "We have cut a deal with Death, and we have made an agreement with Sheol; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, it will not touch us, because we have made falsehood our refuge and have hidden behind treachery."


A mocker seeks wisdom and doesn’t find it,
but knowledge comes easily to the perceptive.

The Lord's curse is on the household of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the righteous; He mocks those who mock, but gives grace to the humble.


The one who corrects a mocker will bring dishonor on himself; the one who rebukes a wicked man will get hurt. Don't rebuke a mocker, or he will hate you; rebuke a wise man, and he will love you. Instruct a wise man, and he will be wiser still; teach a righteous man, and he will learn more. read more.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.


When a mocker is punished,
the inexperienced become wiser;
when one teaches a wise man,
he acquires knowledge.
