Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them.

There arose such a sharp disagreement that they separated from one another, and Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus.


and not only that, but he has been appointed by the churches to travel with us in this gracious work which we are carrying on, for the glory of the Lord himself and to show our good will.

As for Titus, he is my partner and fellow worker among you; and as for our brethren, they are messengers of the churches, a glory to Christ.


I urged Titus to go, and I sent the brother with him. Titus did not take advantage of you, did he? Did we not act in the same spirit and walk in the same steps?

As they went on their way through the cities, they delivered to them for observance the decisions which had been reached by the apostles and elders who were in Jerusalem.


While they were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them." Then after they had fasted and prayed, they laid their hands on them and sent them off.


And having sent into Macedonia two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.


We have therefore sent Judas and Silas, who themselves will tell you the same things by word of mouth.


But Paul chose Silas and left, being commended by the brethren to the grace of the Lord.
