Thematic Bible: They who have

Thematic Bible

That's not the way it should be among you. Instead, whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That's the way it is with the Son of Man. He did not come to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many people."

"The light of Israel will become a fire, and its Holy One a flame, and it will burn and consume Assyria's thorns and briers in a single day.

Because everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the person who humbles himself will be exalted."

I tell you, this man, rather than the other one, went down to his home justified, because everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the person who humbles himself will be exalted."

"For when they're humbled, you may respond; "It's their pride!' but he delivers the humble.

Because he has focused his love on me, I will deliver him. I will protect him because he knows my name.

A prudent man keeps what he knows to himself, but the hearts of fools shout forth their foolishness.

An unthinking person believes everything, but the prudent one thinks before acting.

The naive inherit folly, but the careful are crowned with knowledge.

Every sensible person acts from knowledge, but a fool demonstrates folly.

The mind of a discerning person gains knowledge, while the ears of wise people seek out knowledge.

The prudent person sees trouble ahead and hides, but the naive continue on and suffer the consequences.

Whoever is wise, let him understand these things. Whoever is discerning, let him know them. For the ways of the LORD are right: the righteous follow his example, but the rebellious stumble in them.
