39 Bible Verses about rumors

You'll hear of wars and rumors of wars. See to it that you aren't alarmed. These things must take place, but the end hasn't come yet,

You must thoroughly investigate and inquire if it is true that this detestable thing exists among you. If it is so,

When people say, "There is peace and security," destruction will strike them as suddenly as labor pains come to a pregnant woman, and they will not be able to escape.

"This is what the LORD says: "Never be afraid of the words that you have heard by which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. Look! This news about Jesus spread throughout Judea and all the surrounding countryside.

Without wood, the fire goes out. Without a gossip, contention stops.

I sent word back to him, "Nothing has happened as you've claimed. You're making up these charges in your imagination."

Disaster upon disaster will come, followed by rumor after rumor. They'll seek an oracle from the prophet, but the Law will be gone from the priests, and counsel from the elders.

So news about him spread to every place in the surrounding region.

Then they said, "Come, let's make up a plot against Jeremiah. After all, the priest's instruction, the wise man's counsel, and the prophet's message won't be destroyed. So let's verbally attack him. Pay no attention to anything he says!"

They said, "Say that Jesus' disciples came at night and stole him while you were sleeping.
