7 Bible Verses about Affections Should Not Grow Cold

and, because lawlessness abounds, the love of many will grow cold.

But I have it against you, that you left your first love.

and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love toward one another, and toward all, as we also do toward you,

in diligence, not slothful; in spirit, fervent, serving the Lord;

Where, then, is your benedictions for me? For I bear you witness that, if possible, plucking out your eyes, ye would have given them to me!

"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am about to spew you out of My mouth. Because you say, 'I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing'; and do not know that you are the wretched one, and pitiable, and poor, and blind, and naked!

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in full knowledge and all discernment;
