There will be the weeping, and the gnashing of teeth!"
Wherefore, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, hope perfectly for the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves to the former desires in your ignorance; but, according as He Who called you is holy, do ye yourselves become holy in all your conduct;
Seeing, therefore, that all these things are thus to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conduct and godliness, looking for, and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens, being on fire, will be dissolved; and the elements, being intensely hot, shall melt!

Fight the good fight of the faith, lay hold on the eternal life, to which you were called, and confessed a good confession before many witnesses. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you as a thief; for ye are all sons of light, and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness. So, then, let us not sleep as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.
"Behold, I come as a thief! Happy is he that is watching, and keeping his garments; that he walk not naked, and they see his shame."
But he that endures to the end, the same shall be saved. And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the inhabited earth for a testimony to all the nations, and then shall the end come.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, become steadfast, immovable, abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

and, not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruit of the Spirit, even we ourselves are groaning within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. For by hope we were saved; but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for that which he sees? But, if we hope for that which we see not, we wait for it with patience.
But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those falling asleep, that ye sorrow not even as the rest who have no hope; for, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those who fell asleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say to You, in a word of the Lord, that we, the living who remain over to the coming of the Lord, shall in nowise precede those who fell asleep;
henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will recompense to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.
