For Paul had determined to sail past Ephesus, that he might not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hastening, if it were possible for him, to be in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost.
But we, brethren, having been bereft of you for a short season, in presence, not in heart, endeavored the more exceedingly to see your face, with great desire.
For the love of money is a root of all the evils; which some reaching after wandered away from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
And, coming in straight-way, in haste, to the king, she asked, saying, "I wish that you would, forthwith, give me on a dish, the head of John the Immerser."

For, behold this very thing??hat ye were made sorry after a godly manner??hat diligence it wrought in you; yea, what defense of yourselves; yea, what indignation; yea, what fear; yea what earnest desire; yea, what zeal; yea, what avenging! In everything ye proved yourselves to be pure in the matter.
Let us, therefore, give diligence to enter into that rest, that no one fall after the same example of unbelief.
And we desire that each of you show forth the same diligence to the full assurance of the hope to the end;
as new-born babes, long ye for the spiritual, unadulterated milk, that thereby ye may grow unto salvation,
and, even for this very reason, adding all diligence, in your faith supply virtue; and in virtue, knowledge;
who gave Himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for Himself a special people, zealous of good works.
But, as ye abound in everything??n faith, and speech, and knowledge, and all diligence, and in your love to us??ee that ye abound in this grace also.
Remind them to submit to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work;
And who is he that will harm you, if ye become zealous for that which is good?
feed the flock of God which is among you, overseeing it, not by constraint, but willingly; nor yet for base gain, but of a ready mind;
or he that exhorts, in his exhortation; he that imparts, let him do it with liberality; he that presides, with diligence; he that shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
So also ye, since ye are eager for spiritual gifts, seek that ye may abound in them with a view to the edification of the assembly.
earnestly endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Faithful is the saying, and concerning these things I will that you affirm confidently, that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
so, as much as in me is, I am ready to proclaim the Gospel to you also who are in Rome.
And I will also give diligence that at all times ye may be able, after my departure, to perpetuate the remembrance of these things.

When, therefore, the Samaritans came to Him, they kept asking Him to abide with them: and He abode there two days.
And, as they were going out, they kept beseeching him that these words might be spoken to them on the next sabbath.
And these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.
Attend to these things; give yourself wholly to them; that your progress may be manifest to all.
And now complete the doing also; that, as there was a readiness to will, so also there may be the completion out of what ye have;
only they desired that we should remember the poor, which very thing I was also eager to do.

His disciples remembered that it had been written, "Zeal for Thy house will eat Me up,"
so that ye fall short in no gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Therefore, be ye also ready; for, in an hour that ye think not, the Son of Man is coming.
For the earnest longing of the creation is waiting for the revelation of the sons of God.
and, not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruit of the Spirit, even we ourselves are groaning within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.
For our citizenship is in Heaven, whence also we are waiting for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
