And Barnabas went to Tarsus, to seek for Saul; and when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. And it came to pass, that they met together in the church for a whole year, and taught a great multitude; and the disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

And every one of the disciples determined, as he had the means, to send relief to the brethren that dwelt in Judea; which also they did; and they sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

But the multitude of the city were divided; and some were with the Jews, and some with the apostles. But when there was a violent purpose on the part of the Gentiles and of the Jews, with their rulers, to outrage and to stone them, being aware of it, they fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, and Derbe, and to the region round about, and there they preached the gospel.
