Therefore Jehovah of Hosts, the God of Israel says: 'Behold! I will feed this people with wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink.'
This is what Jehovah of Hosts says about the prophets: I will give them wormwood to eat and poison to drink. The prophets of Jerusalem have spread godlessness throughout the land.
He has made my life nothing but pain. He gives me bitterness in full measure.
Remember my trouble and my wandering, the bitterroot and the poison.
