And as he talked with them, behold there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by name, out of the ranks of the Philistines, and spoke according to the same words; and David heard them.

And David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of its sheath, and killed him completely, and cut off his head with it. And when the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they fled.

And there went out a champion from the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, son of a valiant man, great in exploits, of Kabzeel: he it was that smote two lions of Moab; and he went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day.

And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi.

I pursue, looking towards the goal, for the prize of the calling on high of God in Christ Jesus.

Brethren, I do not count to have got possession myself; but one thing forgetting the things behind, and stretching out to the things before,

I have combated the good combat, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

Strive diligently to present thyself approved to God, a workman that has not to be ashamed, cutting in a straight line the word of truth.
